step by step guide to changing meals in your sub

  1. Log in to your account via the 'LOGIN' button at the top right of the website. If you are having problems logging in please reach out to our team via livechat and we will reset your login details.
  2. Go to ‘Manage Subscription’ then ‘manage upcoming orders’
  3. Select the payment/order date for the order you want to change and click ‘Make your selections’. Note the date listed is the Payment date - NOT the Delivery date.
    The Payment Date is generally a week before the Delivery Date.
  4. Press the Minus Button on the meals down that you don’t want - then press the Plus button on the meals you want to add them to your order.
  5. Once you have made your changes press the SAVE SELECTIONS button at the top of the page and you are done.
As long as you do this before the payment date (order date) of the delivery then the updated meal list will be added to your next order.

What is the difference between Maxi and Lite meals?

Our Lite meals are our smaller portioned meals and are generally between 350- 450 calories.
Our Maxi meals are for the larger portioned meals and are generally between 500 - 600 calories.

Meal caloric values may vary slightly from these figures. For more information please refer to the “Nutritional Information” tab on each meals page.

Can I customise my meals?

All of our meals are made and packed as described on our website. We are unable to take requests or customise meal ingredients due to our large volume of production.

Do you have dairy free, vegetarian or gluten free meals?

We cater to a wide range of preferences and intolerances categorised below.
To view specific dietary restricted meals please use the refine search bar which is located on the meals page at the top right.

Please keep in mind that other meals do contain these ingredients – if you have severe allergies/intolerances we feel its best to discuss them with our customer service team before ordering.

The majority of our meals do not have ingredients that contain Gluten in them but we cannot guarantee they don’t have traces of Gluten in them hence we don’t claim they are Gluten Free.

If you are a coeliac then don’t consume our meals. If you are just trying to avoid gluten/carbs for other reasons you are absolutely fine to eat them.


Do you have a break down of ingredients and/or nutritional info?

Yes. All ingredients and nutritional information for our meals can be found on each meal page under the ‘Ingredients’ and ‘Nutritional Information’ tabs.

Where do you source your ingredients from?

We source the ingredients for all our meals from renowned local suppliers. Delivered fresh, daily. To ensure we produce quality driven meals.

Are your meals Halal certified?

No we are not a Halal Certified provider as we do not use exclusively Halal meat in our meals. While our chicken is Halal certified the other meats we use are not. We are unable to accommodate requests for Halal meat only meals.

How do I store my meals?

Once you have received your Muscle Fuel order, store them in the refrigerator as soon as possible. All meals are labelled with an expiry date.

We recommend storing your meals in the refrigerator to ensure freshness, however if you decide to freeze your meals they will last up to 3 months in the freezer.

Please refer to ‘How do I reheat my meals’ on our website for cooking/defrosting times.

How do I reheat my meals?

From fresh: Pierce the top lid with a fork or peel a corner and microwave for 2-3 minutes depending on the meal.

From frozen: For best results defrost the meals in the fridge overnight then microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. If you are reheating from frozen, defrost in the microwave for 4 minutes then heat on high for 2-3 mins

Due to varying microwave wattages, some microwaves may require slightly more time to heat each meal.

How long do the meals last?

Our meals are designed to last up to 7 days in your fridge (best-before dates vary between 5-7 days depending on the meal. We recommend checking the dates upon arrival). All meals have an expiry date on reverse.

Our meals last up to 3 months frozen.

What do I do with the packaging?

Although we don’t take back any of the packaging due to Covid-19 concerns, most of it can be recycled.

TRAYS: Your individual meal trays can be recycled in your weekly plastic recycling collection.

BOX: The cardboard box can be broken down and put out for recycling.

ICE PACKS: The ice packs can be cut open, with it’s non-toxic filling it’s safe to empty down the sink & recycle the plastic with your soft plastics.

WOOLCOOL: Once removed from its lining, (which can also be recycled with soft plastics) is biodegradable & compostable.

Can I make an order of just SNACKs?

We offer snacks as an added extra to our meals, if you would like to purchase these you will need to have at least 4 meals in the cart as well.

How can I pay for my order

Orders can be paid via Debit/Credit Card, bank transfer through Polipay or AfterPay. It is our company policy that all payments must be cleared before being prepared & sent.


What are the cut off times for delivery?

The day for delivery will be dependent on the option that you have chosen, where you live and if you have ordered before the cut off time.

Cut off times for one-off orders are:

Tuesday delivery- Order before 4pm Tuesday the previous week
Friday delivery – Order before 4pm Friday the previous week

Cut off times for the Lifestyle Meal Plan, Keto Dash or Smart Kitchen registration are:

Tuesday delivery -
Register before 4pm Tuesday the previous week
Friday delivery –
Register before 4pm Friday the previous week

If you miss the cut off time for that week, delivery will default to the chosen day the following week. For example, if you select Friday delivery but don’t place your order until Monday (which is after the cut off) you will not receive your meals until the following week.

Last minute packs are only available as long as stocks last. The cut-off for ordering these is 12 noon the day prior to delivery.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel you must let us know as soon as possible, we are unable to cancel or refund orders that are cancelled out side of the following time frames.

Delivery Tuesday - Cancellation by 3pm Tuesday the week prior.

Delivery Friday - Cancellation by 3pm Friday the week prior.

Please note: The 8 Week Keto Dash and 10 week Smart Kitchen programmes will continue unless cancelled before 9th/11th payment.

What if no one is home when the courier delivers?

Although it would be beneficial for you to be present for your delivery, our couriers are instructed to leave your order at the address whether someone is home to receive it or not.

If you live in an apartment building, couriers sometimes find it hard to complete a delivery. If there is access to your building and a safe place to leave, please be specific in your instructions on how to access the building.

If there is no access without you being present, we may have to look at an alternative address for delivery.

Can I request my order to be delivered on a specific day? What time will it arrive?

Muscle Fuel ONLY deliver on Tuesday and Friday. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver outside of these days.

Because the deliveries are made by New Zealand Couriers who run their own schedule, we are unable to determine an exact delivery time.

When your order reaches your local New Zealand Courier depot your tracking email you received a few days prior, will be updated with tracking details so you can check where your meals are at every step of the journey. We recommend that you keep an eye on this throughout the day.

Can I have my meals delivered on Saturday?

Unfortunately we do not offer Saturday deliveries at this time.

How are the meals packed for delivery?

All meals are chilled and packed into a cardboard box with a solid ice pack and our Woolcool insulation technology. This packaging allows your meals to remain safe outside of the fridge for 24 hours.

The order is then picked up by the courier for an overnight or same day delivery.

Do you deliver to my address?

We deliver nation wide except for Rural/Non Urban addresses.

Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to rural addresses as our meals need to be delivered on an overnight service and rural courier can take up to 3 days to get to you. We can't risk the meals spoiling and causing illness.

Can i change my shipping address?

If you need to change your shipping address for an order that has already been placed, please let the team know before the following times:

Tuesday delivery- before 2pm Thursday prior
Friday delivery- before 2pm Monday prior

Due to the large volume of orders we produce, we may have a difficult time locating your order to make the changes you require if we are notified after the above cut off times.
If you have a subscription and need to make a shipping address change prior to your next order being placed, you can do this by logging into your account and updating it yourself (cool eh!). To learn how to do this, you can watch a 'How to' video here.

How much does delivery cost?

The price is determined by how many meals you order and where in New Zealand it’s being delivered to.

This is all calculated for you at checkout and is generally $18.50 per box NZ wide for up to 20 meals.

If your order contains more than 20 meals we will have to pack your order into more than one box. This will incur an additional fee that varies depending on location.

Can I pick up meals from your Hamilton OR CHRISTCHURCH facilitieS?

Unfortunately we are unable to allow pick ups from our facilities.



The Smart Kitchen Programme is designed to help you reduce your bodyweight to enjoy a healthier more fulfilling life. We achieve this by using scientific equations to estimate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure and applying a caloric deficit. Using the Pre-made Muscle Fuel meals for your lunches and dinners you just have to make the recommended Snacks and Breakfast to achieve your deficit.

We send you a shipment of your choice of Muscle Fuel meals weekly, for 10 weeks.

We also provide assistance for nutrition and working out to help along on your journey.

What is the 8 Week Keto Dash?

The 8 Week Keto Dash is a programme designed by our team of nutritionists, success coaches and food technicians to help you lose weight by adopting a Ketogenic Diet.

The Keto Dash focuses on eliminating carbohydrates from your diet and increasing your fats.
It’s not about counting calories, it’s about providing you with the food it needs to reset your body to use your fat stores as fuel.

We provide with pre-made Keto meals each week, along with all of the information required to educate you on making the Keto lifestyle work for you. You will have a Success Coach helping you right the way through the 8 weeks.

How do I CHANGE my meals?

If you are not a member of the Smart Kitchen or the Keto Dash, click here to subscribe.

If you are already a member you simply need to login in the top right. After logging in you will be take to your profile. From here select 'Manage subscriptions' then click 'Manage Upcoming Orders'.

Choose which order you would like to change the selections in, then pick your meals from our menu and proceed to the checkout to confirm your order.

How do the keto dash & SMART KITCHEN work?

Once you register for either programme, you will receive a welcome email with everything you need to know. Within this email will also be a link to your very own online learning portal that will guide you through the programme. You will find ebooks filled with nutritional information, options for breakfasts + snacks, as well as workout advice and contacts for your success coach.

When are the Keto dash & SMART KITCHEN meals delivered?

We deliver your selected number of meals weekly, on a Tuesday and Friday. You will select the day you wish to receive them when you checkout.

What is the cost of the Smart KITCHEN PROGRAMME?

You can choose from either 10, 12 or 14 meals per week in either Lite and Maxi size.

How do I pay for the Keto dash & SMART KITCHEN?

Payments are taken via credit or debit card only. A weekly credit or debit card recurring payment is taken, usually a week prior to your delivery day. Alternatively, upfront payments for either programme can be made via credit or debit card.

Please note: The 8 Week Keto Dash and 10 Week Smart Kitchen programs will continue unless cancelled before 9th/11th payment.

Can I hold my order?

If you are going away or are unable to receive an order you can pause your orders by logging into your profile and selecting the orders you would like to pause. You cannot pause your order after the cutoff times outlined above. If your payment has been taken you will need to contact us via Livechat as the order will not be stopped once payment is received. The company policy is a maximum 3 week hold period. If you need to hold any longer we recommend just cancelling the meal plan and starting a new one when you return.


Every order is processed, packaged and sent individually so we are unable to combine shipping costs.

Do I need to create an account on this website?

Yes, in order to register to the Smart Kitchen or Keto Dash programmes you must make an account. This will allow you to change your meals each week as well as pause or cancel your subscription.

Is there an early cancellation fee if I cancel before I have completed the programme?

Nope! There is no penalty for leaving the 10 week Smart Kitchen or 8 Week Keto Dash before the programmes are completed. If you would like to cancel your subscription log into your profile then select cancel subscription. Cancellations must be made before your payment as outlined above in 'How do I pay for the Keto Dash & Smart Kitchen?'. We are unable to accept cancellations after this point.

Can i change my shipping address?

Absolutely! As long as the address your wanting to change to is still deliverable according to New Zealand Couriers and not a rural address.

If you do decide to change your shipping address, you will need to do so before the cut off for your delivery day. 

You can update your address by logging into your account. Watch this video for a How to guide
